01/06/2023 at 10:15 a.m. by Jusuf Hatic – With the Yoga Book 9i presented at CES 2023, Lenovo is taking an unusual approach: With two full-size OLED displays, the company wants to create an extremely flexible multitasking solution.
As a convertible, the Yoga series from Lenovo relies on flexible multitasking options. At the CES 2023 that is currently taking place in Las Vegas, the company presented the Yoga Book 9i, a new model in the series that is equipped with an unusual form factor at first glance: Instead of a normal keyboard, the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i is equipped with a second OLED -Screen equipped.
According to the manufacturer, the two displays of the Yoga Book 9i can be arranged side by side or one above the other, offering a “unique” range of versatile experiences. An example of this is the simultaneous use of two applications, in which one app is shown on each display within a vertical alignment of the convertible. However, buyers of the Yoga Book 9i do not have to do without a conventional keyboard: As is usual for regular tablets, a foldable keyboard case can also be attached here, which connects to the device via Bluetooth.

The screens of the Yoga Book 9i themselves are designed as touchscreens with stylus support for finger or pen input. In 16:10 format, the 13.3-inch OLED panels of the convertible have a 2.8K resolution with 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and support for Dolby Vision HDR. The screens should have a maximum brightness of 400 nits, but a maximum of 60 Hertz is possible in terms of refresh rate. A quad speaker system from Bowers & Wilkins, which is equipped with Dolby Atmos support, stands out for the sound experience.
The actual configuration of the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i is specified by the manufacturer with an Intel Core i7 of the 13th generation, the integrated Intel Iris Xe is responsible for the graphics. In terms of storage, the convertible is equipped with 16 GiB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GiB of SSD storage.
The equipment list of the 1.38 kilogram convertible is completed with three Thunderbolt ports, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1. Lenovo specifies a value of 80 watt hours for the battery capacity of the Yoga Book 9i, which according to the manufacturer should be sufficient for up to 10 hours of video playback in dual-screen mode or 14 hours when using a single screen. Lenovo estimates the price for the Yoga Book 9i in the smaller memory version at 2,699 euros, the market launch of the convertible is planned for June 2023.
