We’ve known for some time that Lenovo isn’t averse to rotating screens. With the new ThinkBook, they take it one step further.
Lenovo often releases innovative devices in the ThinkBook Plus series. For example, the ThinkBook Plus Gen 3 has a screen built into the keyboard. The new laptop that will complete this line-up may only have 1 screen – but you will be able to use it in different ways. The Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Twist has a screen that can be rotated.
The ThinkBook Plus Twist retains the most distinctive features of the original ThinkBook Plus Gen 2, but with a number of improvements. For example, the new ThinkBook hides a 13th generation Intel Core processor. In addition, the screen has been given thinner edges. This gives you even more visibility on the OLED touch screen. The biggest eye-catcher is the hinge at the bottom center of the screen. With that single hinge, the display can not only open and close, but can also be rotated.
That way you can make sure the e-Ink display of the top knock is exposed. That way you have quick and convenient access to a digital sheet of paper to write on. That e-Ink display also went through some innovations: the image refresh rate has been increased to 12 Hz and is touchable. Both the OLED screen and the e-Ink display fully support your pen.
Different modes
Thanks to the laptop’s unique hinge, you can use the device in several ways. You can use the laptop in the traditional way, but you can also rotate the screen until you end up in tablet mode. You can then use that tablet standing up, since the keyboard keeps everything upright. Moreover, you can switch between the OLED screen and the e-Ink display whenever you want. This way you always have an e-reader and a laptop with you, without having to take two devices with you.
The Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Twist will be available in Belgium from June 2023 and will have a suggested retail price of €1699.
