Vivo has announced an update that will enable real-time ray tracing on its flagship Vivo X90 series of phones. It will work in all models of the series regardless of the platform (vivo X90 and vivo X90 Pro are based on Dimensity 9200 SoC, while vivo X90 Pro+ uses Snapdragon 8 Gen 2).
The fact that these models support real-time ray tracing is not new – the company even announced this before the phones debuted – but now, with the release of the corresponding update, the technology will really come into play.
The description of the official teaser mentions Falcon’s own graphics engine, as well as artificial intelligence algorithms that will, to some extent, ensure the operation of the technology. But it’s still GPU based.
