O smartphone Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 it will arrive, it seems, in August 2023. The improvements should include the use of a new processor with 4 nm lithography, as well as a new extremely useful slot. More specifically, a slot where we can store the brand’s pen or stylus, the S-Pen as, for example, we already have in the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
We are still several months away from its presentation – probably in August 2023 – but there are already several rumors circulating on the Internet. The latest, from a publication based in Vietnam, reports on important improvements coming to Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5making it even more useful in this year’s edition.
4nm processor and dedicated S Pen slot on Galaxy Z Fold 5
The news was first advanced by Vietnamese publication The Pixel. According to his report, Samsung will introduce, this year, the new generation of its top-of-the-range folding smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold5 to arrive in the middle of the year, probably in August 2023.
Among the main novelties and changes we have a new processor with 4 nm lithography, as well as a new slot for the brand’s smart pen, its S-Pen.
At issue is a new slot or place to store the accessory inside the smartphone, a good way to ensure that the pen is not lost while using the phone.
Samsung foldables could debut Qualcomm Snapdragon 985 5G
The current generation of foldable smartphones Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4.
The processor in question will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 985 5G, a chipset still under development, also based on 4 nm lithography. It should be noted that so far there have been no leaks of information about this chipset. That is, it is literally the first time that the alleged chipset is referred to.
However, the source says that the processor will be based on the same lithography as the current Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It will, however, have optimizations that we are currently unaware of, that is, we need more information to determine the merits of this supposed SoC.
Apparently, the foldable Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be slightly thicker than the current model. It may be up to 6.5 mm thick compared to the current 6.3 mm, but we will be able to store the S-Pen inside.
Triple camera with 50 MP Samsung ISOCELL GN3 sensor
We will also have a new triple camera with 50 MP Samsung ISOCELL GN3 sensors leading the image department. There is also an indication of a new 12 MP front camera for selfies.
However, until this device, as well as the Galaxy Z Flip5 are announced, we still have the Galaxy S23 to arrive, it seems, on the 1st of February.
