A few weeks ago, the first trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse attracted attention. While fans have to wait until June 1st to see the animated film in German cinemas, another trailer for the film has been making waves in the meantime. However, this is not a new clip from Sony, but an implementation of the current trailer in Lego form. Finally, Youtuber “LegoMe_The OG” recreated the two-minute video entirely using Lego figures.
Successful demake of the trailer
Each shot has been faithfully recreated and illustrated with Lego bricks. As in The Lego Movie, for example, this is combined with suitable sets and harmonious lighting. Accordingly, the Lego trailer makes an impression of almost as high quality as the original from Sony. Also in terms of special effects, the Youtuber does not have to hide from the Spider-Verse trailer.
According to him, the production of the Lego variant took three weeks. And the praise for his work, given the quality of his work, is absolutely huge. Fans of the Lego implementation include Kemp Powers and Brian Michael Bendis. While Powers is directing the film with two other people, Bendis is one of the executive producers. Comicbookmovie emphasizes how much both were impressed by the Lego trailer and consequently shared their praise on Twitter.
