Transferring conversations on WhatsApp is not always a simple thing. Especially when we are talking about different platforms. In addition, even many people who want to transfer content between Android devices encounter difficulties. Fortunately, this situation will be resolved and it will be much easier to transfer WhatsApp conversations between smartphones.
WhatsApp: now it will be easier to transfer conversations!
According to a new report from WABetaInfo, the next version of WhatsApp will allow people to transfer their WhatsApp data from one Android device to another using a local network (either through Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi Direct). With this it will not be necessary to go through Google Drive, which means that people will no longer have to back up their data to the cloud service if they want to transfer conversations from one device to another.
The new functionality for transferring chats over a local network has arrived in WhatsApp versions 2.23.1.26 and 2.23.1.27. The ability is quite simple. When installing WhatsApp on a new device, you have to select the option to import conversations from another device. This will open the device’s camera to scan a QR code. Now, on your other device, you have to go to WhatsApp settings and select the option to export data to another device, which will display a QR code. Then scan the QR code with your new device and everything transfers.
This next feature in WhatsApp will not only simplify the process of transferring chats but it will be significantly faster as compared to the current process. This is because transferring data over a local network is generally much faster than downloading data from a cloud service.
However, the new feature is currently under development, and may soon be available to beta testers. However, later it will reach everyone. This is yet another effort by this platform to facilitate various tasks. I remember that over the last year, WhatsApp started allowing users to transfer their chat backups from Android to iOS and vice versa.
