The Xbox Insiders program tests new party chat features on Xbox Live.
The Xbox Insider Program allows all Alpha participants to try out new features for party chats on Xbox Live. There is now a new category: Recent parties.
Microsoft describes the new features as follows: “We now offer a two-click way to return to a recent party! You can now see a list of your recent parties, select one and view the attendee schedule, send invites to selected users, and restart a party. You can also invite users from your past parties to your current party. “
“A random subset of testers will also find a ‘Recent Parties’ item under the ‘Start a Party’ button on the ‘Parties & Chats’ tab. Everyone else clicks the ‘Parties’ button on the ‘Parties & Chats’ tab and start a party from there or choose from a list of recent parties on the new site.”
