As you may know, Samsung is going to announce its new Galaxy S23 on the 1st of February, in what is a girl that takes last year’s recipe, and tries to correct all its defects to finally present a perfect range of devices, or at least less close to that.
However, with falling revenues in the last quarter, and increasing technical specifications across all ranges, as all Galaxy S23s will use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC better than the competition, and will most likely double the storage on all models, it is now very likely that despite some early reports denying a price increase, it will eventually happen.
Galaxy S23: Unfortunately, it may even be more expensive
So, this is normal, but it is also a negative, because 2023 is not going to be a year of great spending for consumers, and truth be told, top-of-the-range Android phones are not very cheap anymore.
Having said all this, the prices of the new Galaxy S23 for the South Korean market have now hit the Internet, let’s see what changes?
Well, according to a ‘leak’ that we still don’t know to be true or false, the Galaxy S23 and S23+ can cost €150, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra should cost more or less €120 (to €1300).
A considerable increase, and in fact, very similar to that of Apple with the iPhone 14 generation in several territories. An increase that could be a shot in the foot for Samsung, such has been the increase in everything that is technology in recent times.
Having said all that, the launch event takes place on the 1st of February. And by all indications, pre-orders start as early as the 7th of the same month. Samsung is expected to offset this price increase with good deals during the campaign.
