When we least expect it, someone who once wasn’t even that annoying becomes and at that point we really have to get rid of possible contacts. Another reason for blocking someone could simply be to stop receiving commercial messages and the like. Not to mention the cases of harassment via Gmail that keep on increasing. In any case, whoever is using Google’s email platform has an advantage. It becomes very easy to end this. So we are going to explain how to block a contact in the Android and web versions of Gmail.
Harassment in Gmail? End it right now!
Through the Web Version
To do it via the Web we have to open the Gmail site here. Next, we need to open the message from the person we want to block. Once the email is open, we use the three-dot menu in the upper right corner. Then just choose Block. It usually appears block and the name of the person who sent it.
Then a window appears warning about blocking future messages from this person. We just have to choose the Block option.
At that time, a notice will appear above the message that tells us that messages from this sender will be sent to the Spam box.
Once a person is blocked, you will no longer receive emails from them. At least out of the Spam box. However, not even in the chat will they be able to contact you. To unlock, just do the reverse process. So we just have to open a message that we have received from that person, use the three-point menu and choose the unblock option.
Through the Android version
In the case of the Android version, blocking is just as simple. That said, we just have to open the message from the person we want to block. Once opened, click on the three dots next to the contact’s name and choose the block user option. From then on we will no longer receive messages from that person.
In fact it is a very simple process and it will help us to be more free of threats or unwanted comments. It is better to resort to this type of tools that platforms make available than to put up with someone who is not worth our time.
