The fan modder is called Mr Zyanide and he is currently working on the ray tracing mod for Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy. To showcase his progress, Mr Zyanide has released a new video on his RTX project. In the video he shows a map from the games with over 1000 lights. He explains that he uses improved reflections, improved the denoiser when using ReSTIR GI, and uses fixed motion vectors for models.
Mr Zyanide does not yet have a date on when this ray tracing project will be released for Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy. He only mentions that there is still a lot of work ahead of him, but that he is making enough progress. However, fans can be told that this is not a simple RT reshade mod. Rather, it is a native ray tracing mod that significantly beautifies and modernizes the graphics of this classic Star Wars game.
