WhatsApp has released a new update of its app for Android mobile devices through the Google Play Beta platform where we can now find the version 2.23.1.25. The highlight goes to the new tool, still being tested, to speed up the transfer of conversations on Android.
This feature will be useful, and displayed, right after logging into WhatsApp. That is, immediately after registration and authentication with the 6-digit code on the Meta group instant communications platform.
At that moment, the new conversation transfer tool, with all the conversation history, will make this step considerably easier for WhatsApp users.
WhatsApp prepares solution to simplify the transfer of conversations on Android
The feature was spotted by the publication WABetaInfo in the aforementioned test version. However, the resource is still somewhat limited and is not available to each and every user registered in the Beta program. At the moment, it focuses on programmers and the most curious users, but it should objectively reach the stable version of WhatsApp.
Essentially we will have a new way to meet a real need whenever we configure a new Android smartphone, or other mobile device. In this way, and regardless of the backups and backups of conversations, we will have a new option to migrate conversations between Android smartphones.

Above, we can see the presence of a new feature called Chat Transfer to Android. That is, in a literal translation we have the Transfer of Conversations for Android. As can easily be inferred from here, the new feature will facilitate the migration of conversation history between Android devices, regardless of possible backups or backups.
Feature will come first to the messaging app for Android
The user will thus have a new way of easily transferring all of his conversation history to another Android device without having to resort to backups in the cloud. Therefore, we will not depend on copies in Google Drive to recover the contents when switching to a new mobile phone, for example.
It is indeed a promising function, however, it needs more testing and development time. For now, for safety and precautionary reasons, we continue to recommend copying or backing up to services like Google Drive for any emergency.
However, we do expect new features like this option to quickly transfer conversations between Android devices to arrive over the next few months. It will be simple to use, at least apparently, and will make life easier for WhatsApp users.
For now, it should be noted that these features are in the testing phase with the news arriving first in the Beta version of the platform. Likewise, we do not have an exact timetable for its arrival in the stable version of the application for Android and iOS.
Finally, we also have other features under development on the platform, such as the possibility to report status updates. The user will thus be able to react to content published in the Status of the communications platform.
