Acer has always attracted attention with unusual gadgets. In 2018, we noticed the giant Predator Thronos gaming chair with vibration motors, hanging displays and all sorts of adjustments. Now, at the Consumer Electronics Show, an exercise bike table has been shown.
The eKinekt BD 3 exercise bike table combines a table top with a bike trainer, allowing you to pedal and work at the same time. The idea is to combine an active lifestyle with seemingly sedentary work. Moreover, the simulator allows you to power or charge USB gadgets. That is, there is enough muscle energy to generate power for two USB Type-A devices or one Type-C.
Riding an exercise bike at 60 rpm is enough to provide up to 75 watts of power – enough to power an ultrabook. It can be placed on a plastic table top in front of the user.
The height of the table and seat can be flexibly adjusted. The exercise bike can work in two modes: in the work table is moved closer to the seat, which allows you to sit upright during the set. In sport mode, the tabletop moves further away from the seat, freeing up more space for pedaling, the body can be tilted forward. This allows, for example, to increase muscle load and generate more power for devices. Acer has added a cup holder and a bag hook.
The built-in LCD display and mobile application display information about the workout, you can view the distance traveled, the duration of the trip, the speed and the number of calories burned. It is recommended to create a profile where you specify height, weight, gender and age. An indicator on the back of the machine shows when muscle energy is being converted into electricity.
The Acer eKinekt BD 3 exercise bike table will be available in June for €999.
