2023 will be the year of the iPhone 15, there’s no doubt! And while the latest iterations of Apple’s smartphone were released last September, some insiders already seem to know a bit more than everyone else about Apple’s next phone.
The iPhone 14 was not the smartphone of all records for Apple
As every year since 2007, Apple risks gratifying us with the release of a new iPhone in 2023. And if the expectations are high as always, the results are not always bombastic for one of the most influential companies in the world. If 2022 was the year of the iPhone 14 and the famous Dynamic Island, 2023 should therefore be the year of the iPhone 15. And believe us, Apple is going to want to do a lot better than its latest iteration!
Even though the next iPhone isn’t expected to come out until the fall, Apple insiders like Mark Gurman, Jeff Pu, and Ming-Chi Kuo always have juicy insights to distill. We don’t know where they got them from, but it is clear that every time (or almost), the three friends are right. At the moment, we don’t know much about these future iterations, although they should have a lot more novelties to claim than those of the year 2022.
iPhone 15: are shovel changes to be expected?
Let’s start right away with what interests the most people: the price. As you can imagine, this is information that is far from being an open secret, but a trend is emerging all the same. Although iPhone prices rarely drop year over year, 2023 could be a first. Indeed, the prices of the iPhone 14s caused such a stir when they were released, that the apple could decide to freeze them or slightly lower them. Information to be taken with a grain of salt, since none of the three insiders shared any info on this subject.

As with the iPhone 14, the iPhone 15 is expected to come in four modelsthe only change to report from this point of view, Pro models could now take the name Ultraaccording to Mark Gurman. This change would further accentuate the differences between the iPhone models and would also follow the logic of the Apple Watch.
On the design side, many changes are also to be expected, since Tim Cook and his teams could choose to bring the curved edges back into fashion, combining them with an ultra-resistant titanium frame (cf. photos AppleInsider). Some rumors also point to a new technology integrated into the side buttons, allowing a haptic feedback. Another possible change, the switch from Lightning to USB-Cfollowing the decision taken by the European Union in October 2022.
Corridor noises also suggest that all iPhone 15 models could be equipped with a 48-megapixel lens while the iPhone Pro (or Ultra) could carry more a 12-megapixel periscopic telephoto lens – to improve the optical zoom. For the moment, it is difficult to say if all this information will come to life next fall, but one thing is certain, the iPhone 15 has not finished talking about it.
