The new Season 2023 of League of Legends is coming and, with it, lots of news for different champions. We already know that Patch 13.1 will introduce changes to Jax’s kit, but watch out for the big update coming to Aurelion Sol: The Forger of Stars returns to the center of the Riot Universe with a new space kit!
In recent years Aurelion Sol has been snubbed by Riot Games and by players, thanks to a skill set deemed dated and inadequate to the current meta: Summoner’s Rift has changed a lot in recent seasons and, for this reason, the time has come to update the Star Forger by giving it new life.
Il Comprehensive Gameplay Update coming with patch 13.3 next February it will be a complete rework for Aurelion Sol, but what will the new skills be like? Let’s find out together:
Passiva – Cosmic Creator: Aurelion Sol’s damaging abilities grant stacks of Stardust that permanently enhance each of his abilities.
Q – Breath of Light: Aurelion Sol channels dragon breath for a few seconds, damaging the first enemy hit and dealing reduced damage to nearby enemies. Every second channeled directly against an enemy will do bonus damage, augmented by Stardust stacks. The ability increases Stardust stacks if the enemy hit is a champion.
W – Astral Light: Aurelion Sol flies in one direction. While he’s in this state, he can use other abilities. Breath of Light (Q) no longer has a cooldown or duration and has increased damage when used while in flight. Astral Light’s remaining cooldown is reduced whenever an enemy is killed after they take damage from Aurelion Sol. Stardust increases Astral Light’s range.
E – Singularity: Aurelion Sol creates a black hole, damaging enemies and pulling them towards the center. This ability grants Stardust every time an enemy dies inside the black hole and every second a champion is pulled into the center. The center of the black hole deals execution damage to enemies below a health threshold. Stardust increases the Singularity’s size and execution threshold.
R – Falling Star: Aurelion Sol crashes a star to earth. The impact deals magic damage and stuns enemies, earning Stardust for each enemy champion hit. Earning enough Stardust turns the next Falling Star into The Skies Descend.
R – The Skies Descend: Aurelion Sol drags a giant star from the sky with increased impact zone size and damage, lifting enemies into the air instead of stunning them. A shockwave propagates from the edges of the impact, dealing damage and slowing enemies hit. Stardust increases the area of impact of Falling Star and The Skies Descend.
In short, the kit focuses on enemy control and splash damage, with one scaling not to be underestimated. Better to pay attention, therefore, to the future of Aurelion Sol on the Rift of the Summoners.
