A well-finished tablet, ideal for viewing content

The Xiaomi Redmi Pad is equipped with a 10.61-inch IPS LCD screen in 2000 × 1200 pixel definition. Despite the absence of OLED, the screen is of good quality and is sufficient for watching video content, or reading the press, for example. The tablet also supports Dolby Atmos on its four speakers to ensure good audio rendering. Where Xiaomi makes up for it is by offering a refresh rate of 90 Hz. This allows for smoother animations and a more pleasant feeling to use. This is a technical feature that is not usually found on models at the same price.

For the design part, the Chinese firm has not neglected this aspect and relies on sobriety. It looks like a high-end tablet, but once turned on, the screen reveals fairly large borders that can be forgotten. The brushed metal frame gives a rather soft and pleasant coating in hand. Moreover, with its 445 grams well distributed, the Xiaomi tablet can easily be used with one hand and be taken everywhere with you without difficulty.

Correct performance, but above all good autonomy

To animate its tablet, Xiaomi integrates the Helio G99 chip from MediaTek. Far from being the most powerful, overall, you have a perfectly functional tablet for everyday use. The tablet will respond to most classic uses: surf the Internet, consult social networks, binge watch your favorite series, but without being able to launch the most demanding games. As for the user experience, it is fluid on the MIUI interface based on Android 12.
