Later this week, the starting signal for the HBO series The Last of Us, which is known to be based on the games of the same name, will finally be given. Although the producers want to stick as closely as possible to the template, there will be some deviations, cuts and additions from time to time. There’s one thing fans get to see even more of than they do in the games.
Life before the big eruption
Some of the actors from The Last of Us ( buy now ) recently answered questions from IGN magazine. Actors like Pedro Pascal (Joel) and Bella Ramsey (Ellie) chatted about their work in front of the camera and their impressions of the shooting. The statements of Gabriel Luna, who embodies Joel’s brother Tommy in the series, were particularly interesting. It suggests that fans will learn a lot more about life before the big outbreak in the episodes.
“We’re going to explore a great many moments that took place before the event that started everything… We’re going to see how they lived as a family for a while. Those moments when everything was still normal were a lot of fun. They are at the same time important to the story, to convey what life is like for this little family when they don’t have to fight for their lives.”
Luna could not be elicited any further details in this regard. But fans can apparently expect to learn a little more about the background and emotional past of each character. That should certainly do the story of The Last of Us good and give it a little more depth.
