January 9th, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. by Philipp Sattler – In addition to weapons and set items, jewelry has always been your character’s strongest item. Therefore it is very important that these are well balanced. This is only partially the case in WoW: Dragonflight, which is why the developers have now intervened again with a hotfix and buffed some trinkets from the dungeons.
As good as WoW Dragonflight is in many places, the developers grabbed the toilet more than once when it came to balancing in the first few weeks of the new expansion. Of course, one can argue about when balancing is really bad and to what extent it is simply part of an MMO that some items/classes/specs are better or worse than others.
For their part, the developers also see a need to catch up and have been throwing buffs and nerfs around for weeks. Dungeons should be brought to a level of difficulty, classes brought closer together and items improved. And the devs are far from done. In one of the most recent hotfixes, more pieces of jewelry have now been adjusted. But this time not the trinkets from the raid, but some from the dungeons.

Buff for dungeon trinkets
In the current case, three pieces of jewelry from the current Mythic Plus dungeons are given a buff. However, the gain is not about the stats on the trinkets – these remain the same in all cases. Instead, each of the trinkets has an additional effect that deals damage to one or more enemies. This damage has now been increased by ten percent.
This should bring the gems closer to the other trinkets of the first season, which they have been inferior to so far. However, it is doubtful whether this relatively small buff is sufficient for this.
Do you think it’s bad if there are items in a season that are significantly worse than others? Does that rather invite you to earn the better items or is it just frustrating when you get loot at the end of the dungeon and it is then worthless despite the high item level?
