Daniel Martins of Microsoft revealed on social media that starting in 2023, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will see a small but important change to quest point collection.
As Game Pass subscribers are well aware, Microsoft is offering subscribers the opportunity to earn many Microsoft Rewards points by completing tasks to complete activities in video games available “for free” in the service catalog.
Martins explained on Twitter:
“Game Pass Challenges are a little different this year. From now on, you will be rewarded with more Microsoft Rewards points, so stay tuned for weekly challenges!
However, Martins notes that due to the increase in points awarded, “the quest reward has been dropped from 1,000 points to 500 points in order to ensure that the same or slightly more points are available to players every month. This way you can earn a little more points from now on.”
Quests are unlocked by completing a predetermined number of weekly and monthly missions: along with the reduction in the maximum score, the company has increased the number of points for weekly challenges. Clearly, Microsoft is looking to encourage users to try as many Game Pass games as possible, always experimenting with different genres to satisfy subscribers’ curiosity.
