NVIDIA has released or is about to release reference design RTX 4070 graphics cards. YouTube channel RedGamingTech shared exclusive photos of the box for the yet-to-be-announced graphics card. Although the card itself was not inside, this confirms that NVIDIA has been working on a graphics card reference design. As a reminder, the recently released RTX 4070 Ti does not have a reference variant.
The presence of a box in itself does not mean that the video card has already been released or even will ever be released. However, the characteristics indicated on the box allow you to get an idea of the fundamental capabilities of the RTX 4070. However, everything is possible – the insider kopite7kimi confirmed not only the reference RTX 4070, but also the RTX 4060 Ti in a similar design.
Congratulations!
RTX 4060 Ti FE can also use this cooler. 😁

The data on the box confirms the use of a 16-pin connector and the need for a 2×8 to 16 adapter for older power supplies. The packaging also revealed the width of the video card – 112 mm. The RTX 4070 uses an AD104-250 or AD104-251 GPU with 5888 CUDA cores, along with 12GB of GDDR6X memory on a 192-bit bus. The reduced core count compared to the RTX 4060 Ti allowed NVIDIA to lower the power consumption of the card to 200-250W. VideoCardz has compiled the known specifications of the RTX 4070 Ti, RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 Ti into a table:
Mass production of the AD104-250 GPU is scheduled for the second half of February, which usually means it will be on the market in a few weeks. Preliminarily, the RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 Ti graphics cards are expected in the first half of 2023.
