January 10th, 2023 at 4:21 p.m. by Andreas Link – Be Quiet also presented innovations at CES, which we would like to present briefly. These include in particular new power supply units from the Dark Power 13 and Pure Power 12 M series.
The Dark Power 13 offers an efficiency of 80 Plus Titanium and, according to the manufacturer, an almost inaudible, frameless fan concept. The Dark Power 13 is ATX 3.0 compliant and supports graphics cards like the Nvidia Geforce RTX 40 series with a native 12VHPWR connector, but also upcoming PCI-E 5.0 devices. Backwards compatibility is also provided, with 4 PCI-E 6+2 pin connectors. The mesh front with a funnel-shaped air inlet is designed to ensure high air circulation and the improved frameless Silent Wings fan is said to be a little more comfortable for the ear than its predecessor. The connections show directly which rail is used to supply it and what their maximum load looks like. Be Quiet offers a 10-year guarantee on the models with a choice of 750, 850 and 1,000 watts. They cost 210, 260 and 295 euros and should be available from January.

The Pure Power 12 M is more simply equipped, offers 80 Plus Gold and is offered in more gradations; this also reduces costs. Be Quiet also has ATX 3.0 on board here, and according to the manufacturer, the fan has been optimized to reduce turbulence. The cable position is based on the overall performance: All models have a 12VHPWR; its power varies between 300 and 600 watts. Depending on the overall performance, the 6+2 options also vary between one and two cables with two to four connectors. Here, too, there is a 10-year guarantee for the models with 550, 650, 750, 850 and 1,000 watts, which will change hands from February for 95, 110, 120, 140 and 170 euros respectively.

fan and thermal paste
Also worth mentioning are new Light Wings White with ARGB to meet demand. The 140s have 20 LEDs, the 120s have 18 LEDs. PWM fans with 1,500 or 1,700 rpm and high-speed fans with 2,200 or 2,500 rpm are offered. They reach a maximum of 21 dB(A). The thermal paste, in the case of the Pro liquid metal, should reach 7.5 W/mK or 80 W/mK and is certified for Be-Quiet coolers. The costs are EUR 7.90 and EUR 11.90 respectively.
