In a live stream, Naoki Yoshida was surprised that players were already speculating about a PC version. The producer doesn’t want to know anything about that and referred to the PS5 version, in which the developers “gave everything.”
In November 2022, a PlayStation commercial revealed the Period of PS5 exclusivity from Final Fantasy XVI. The promising action RPG will not be released for any other platform for six months. So the duration is limited.
For this reason, PC players hope to get their hands on the new “Final Fantasy” offshoot a few months later. However, Naoki Yoshida is surprised that people are already talking about the PC version.
So the producer of the game shared in a recent Livestream mit: Nobody in his team made an announcement in this regard. So Yoshida’s advice is: “Don’t worry about it, get a PS5!”
PS5 should remain in focus
The 49-year-old Japanese then laughed and said he exaggerated a bit with this comment. He just wants the community to experience the game once it’s out. His behavior makes sense because most sales occur during the introductory phase of a video game. So he wants to focus fully on the PS5 and put aside speculation about the PC version.
Sooner or later a PC version is to be expected. It remains to be seen whether that will happen after six months.
In contrast to a PC release, a release for the Xbox consoles seems impossible. Recently, in a letter to the UK competition authority, Microsoft mentioned a “Xbox Series X/S Disclaimer„.
