A few years ago, Gigabyte officially began using Azure servers to boost the performance of some of its gaming laptops using artificial intelligence.
True, the results were quite strange and there is no need to talk about the real benefits of this decision. But Lenovo decided not to leave the idea of using artificial intelligence in this direction, although the Chinese giant decided to go a slightly different way – a separate chip is installed in the Legion Pro 7i laptop, which is responsible for working with artificial intelligence. This chip processes various information from the laptop in order to eventually pump the system and increase the performance of the components to the limit.
The processor probably works in the same way as some systems when connecting the Internet via cable – the technology determines the important processes that are necessary for a video game and allocates all resources to them, and what is not used when starting video games goes into the background processes.
That is, this is the usual prioritization of processes, only in a more advanced format, which allows you to play with greater comfort and not think that the performance of a gaming laptop for impressive money will not be enough.
The only problem is that we did not see real tests and comparisons, so it is problematic to assess the advantages of the chip in the Legion Pro 7i. We need to wait for the release and see how necessary it is at the moment.
