A few hours after the demo version was published, the first comparison video is already available. Here, the tester focuses on the PlayStation consoles.
Before “One Piece Odyssey” appears next Friday, the role-playing game can be tested. One came today Demo out, where you can experience the first one to two hours. Both PlayStation and Xbox players can download the demo version, while PC players are left out.
Difference between PS5 and PS4 small
As you’d expect from the PS5, the current-gen console features slightly higher quality textures, higher draw distance, and more realistic shadows. In addition, the vegetation is more lush and anti-aliasing is more effective. However, because of the artistic graphic style, the visual difference between the PS5 and PS4 is manageable.
There are occasional stutters in the quality mode of the PS5 (4K and 30 FPS). And the performance mode with Full HD and 60 FPS is not fully convincing either. That’s a bit disappointing given the slight graphical divergence between the two PlayStation generations.
The base PS4 offers similar quality to the Pro model in this game. Only the sharpness is slightly better on the PS4 Pro. Furthermore, the refresh rate is not always stable, although this is hardly important.
At least there is a big difference in the loading times. While the PS5 takes 18.23 seconds to complete the test, the PS4 Pro takes 48.80 seconds. The PS4 Basic, in turn, takes 46.16 seconds.
