realme has been working on launching a new smartphone that must have a battery with a capacity of 5,500 mAh. The news was revealed by the well-known and reliable Digital Chat Station this Tuesday morning.
According to the leaker, this smartphone has two 2,750 mAh batteries to reach 5,500 mAh (combined typical value). The idea is that this will support 150W fast charging, for example.
The use of two battery cells has become increasingly common in flagships or intermediaries that must support charging of 100W or more. This is seen as a security measure.
As for the other specifications of this new smartphone, DCS claims that it has not yet been able to gain access to a preliminary technical sheet. With that, everything remains secret.
In any case, as the company has not yet presented a smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor in the domestic market (China), everything indicates that this mysterious device may be a strong candidate to carry the title.
Sources claim that the future flagship can be presented to the world after the announcement of GT Neo 5, which should have 240W charging and could be made official at WMC 2023.
However, as realme remains silent, we stress that everything should be considered as just another market rumor.
