Due to the latest postponement of Sons of the Forest, there is just over a month left for the launch of this interesting survival horror, and so the guys from the Endnight studios reappear online to show a new gameplay video full of unpublished details on the system responsible for managing L’AI of enemies and companions.
To the microphones of IGN.com, the developers confirm that the sequel to theottimo survival horror The Forest will boast opponents with significantly more advanced artificial intelligence and, for the first time in the series, teammates who will help our alter-ego survive the abominations dedicated to cannibalism that infest the open world map.
The ‘collaborative vocation’ of the companions’ AI will also allow them to participate in the gathering resources and building defensive structurestwo fundamental aspects of the gaming experience and of the narrative dynamics that will be created during the adventure.
The survival of our character will therefore pass through the recruitment of these allies but will not represent the focal point of the gameplay and the plot, as the Endnight studies themselves underline, reiterating that the cooperation with these friendly AIs will be totally optional.
At this point we just have to leave you with the new gameplay video that you find at the top of the news, but not before reminding you that the launch of Sons of the Forest is scheduled for February 23rd on PC and later on PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
