After having already shown himself recently in 10 minutes of gameplay, Wo Long Fallen Dynasty returns to be appreciated through a new movie published by IGN.com. What we reported at the beginning is one of many boss fight that Team Ninja’s new action game has in store for us for the future.
Aoye is a fictional creature that appears in the ancient Chinese text Shan Hai Jing, also known as the Classic of Mountains and Seas. He is described as a bull-like being with a long mane resembling a cloak made of straw. In Wo Long, Aoye appears as a giant monster who attacks with his own long creepy tentacles. Though she often exposes herself to attack, each of Aoye’s blows is heavy and can be fatal.
In this case, our character wields thehalberd, a type of weapon never shown before. This is what director Masakazu Hirayama has to say about it: “The halberd is known for the Sky Piercing wielded by Lu Bu. It is a heavy weapon that can knock down enemies like the sword. At the same time, it also has some vertical attacks long range like the spear.Using the shape of the halberd, this type of weapon also has a martial art (a powerful move that differs for each individual weapon) where you can grapple a distant enemy with your blade. You can use this attack to draw the enemy towards you and attack from a closer range”.
Recently, Team Ninja has also focused on topics such as weapons, armor and transmog in Wo Long.
