Finding a parking spot will be easier with Apple Maps
The information emanates from Apple itself, and is therefore from an official source. Indeed, we now have confirmation that up to 8,000 locations around the world will have detailed information, on Apple Maps, about spaces, parks and parking spaces.
This possibility, already present in Google Maps for a long time, now reaches the rival service thanks to a partnership with the SpotHero parking app, with all its search engine.
That is, it will help us to find a good place to leave the car. In fact, with the possibility of choosing special spaces for electric vehicles, among other specificities such as charging stations, among others.
Feature will make Apple Maps more capable than Google Maps
The application that will make this reality possible, in collaboration with Apple, was created in 2011, since then helping drivers to find a parking space in more than 300 locations in the United States of America.
Now, however, its scope will be vastly expanded to include around 8,000 locations around the world. It will be one of the assets to reach iPhone and Mac users who use the Apple Maps application to help them navigate.
The new feature will be present within Apple’s Maps application, in the additional options – find parking space. The feature will gradually reach various markets and regions around the globe, and will be gradually improved.
Finding the best place will be easier with Apple Maps
Users will also be able to take advantage of payment options for multiple parking spaces right through the navigation app, at least in some regions. However, the new options are currently only available in North America, with more regions on the horizon.
Finally, as Apple made known last December, its Maps will be subject to interventions and improvements throughout this year with the aim of improving the entire service. For now, we have a new design also available in Europe, with more news on the way.
