The Geforce RTX 4070 Ti has been released and with it the first graphics card of the RTX 4000 generation that is not in the four-digit euro range. Right at the launch, the RRP of 899 euros communicated by Nvidia still seemed too optimistic, but since then there have always been RTX 4070 Ti graphics cards that are sold by some retailers for around 900 euros. Since last month, the offer for the Geforce RTX 3080 Ti and 3090 (Ti) graphics cards has deteriorated significantly, so we have removed them from this article. The Geforce RTX 4070 Ti and 4080 offer better performance per dollar in the same price range and if you absolutely have to have the 24 GiByte of a 3090 Ti, then you probably can’t get enough performance anyway and are perfectly served with the Geforce RTX 4090, which both is in a league of its own in terms of both price and speed.
How are the Geforce prices developing?
Basically, the trend is right, even with the cheaper models: The Geforce RTX 3060 12G, for example, is now available from 333 euros – a month ago you had to spend around 50 euros more for it. Since then, the price of the RTX 3050 has dropped by around 35 euros. While the RTX 3080 10G was around 900 euros in the previous month, it is now selling Alternate for 799 euros; This is certainly thanks to the Geforce RTX 4070 Ti, which costs another 100 euros more, but still makes the old RTX 3080 cards increasingly unattractive for new buyers. A little is also happening with the top models, starting with the RTX 4090: A month ago it was still 2,049 euros, Cyberport is now selling it from 1,929 euros. Of course, the card remains expensive, but a price drop of 120 euros is not to be scoffed at. The cheapest RTX 4080 fell by 70 euros in price in the same period and is now available from 1,299 euros.
