Skyrim, which is now 11 years old, has mods for almost everything you could want, but still modders continue to fiddle, adding new ideas and improvements. And all these years later, they are still trying to perfect the humble cabbage.
Appropriately titled “Cabbage – A Cabbage Mod”, the latest cabbage-themed mod turns the game’s scant green leaves into crunchy and ultra-realistic veggies that look appetizing enough. This is not only the most beautiful cabbage in Skyrim, but also probably the best iteration of this vegetable that you will find in the virtual world. Of course, they don’t necessarily add anything to the gameplay, but when it comes to immersion, don’t underestimate the power of a really compelling cabbage.
This impressive mod is the work of Kreiste, who shared a video of his creation. The video shows exactly how many triangles and vertices his retextured cabbage uses, and compares it to the vanilla version of the vegetable, as well as other mods designed to improve the appearance of objects. Interestingly, the Kreiste cabbage is almost indistinguishable from the High Poly Project version, but uses far fewer triangles and vertices.
