Google is changing its strategy within the Android ecosystem, preferring to improve existing features rather than adding new features that may or may not be successful. It is precisely because of this that in the very near future, the screen recording feature on Android will be able to record only the application, or applications, that the user wants, this instead of recording everything.
It will be possible to record specific apps on Android
So, if you are not familiar with how things work, in the Android world, if you press the screen recording button, it will actually record everything that happens on the screen during the recording time. Which isn’t always very cool, because, whether we like it or not, there are always things we like to keep private, reserved for our eyes only. (Where we can include notifications of emails, social networks, calls, etc…)
Which is exactly why Google is now preparing some changes, which will only allow you to record the app you choose. It seems like a small thing, but these days, both in the Android ecosystem and in the iOS ecosystem… It’s the little things that really matter! The small improvements, which all together, make the user experience go up a level.
However, the functionality is already present in the QPR2 Beta 2 version of Android 13. A version that should be stable and available from March. Then it depends on the manufacturers to make their adaptations, to send them to the users as soon as possible. However, it may happen that the functionality is not adopted, with manufacturers implementing their own version, as some already do.
