One of the industry figures who has already had the opportunity to explore PlayStation VR2 is Palmer Luckey, the founder of Oculus. In a statement on Twitter, he revealed he was “overwhelmed” after trying out PSVR 2.
“I was blown away trying PSVR 2 recently! The first PSVR was arguably the generation’s biggest hit, and this version is going to be even better.”

4K, HDR and Sense controller
From a technical point of view, PlayStation VR2 is quite impressive. The bare features include a higher resolution of 2,000 x 2,040 pixels provided by two OLED displays with HDR capabilities, intelligent eye tracking that allows interactions in the game world and also optimizes the rendering in a targeted manner, and a field of view of 110 degrees , which is achieved with Fresnel lens.
The special features of PlayStation VR2 also include the new Sense controllers with touch recognition, so that gripping objects in the virtual worlds looks more believable. PSVR2 users do not have to do without the haptic feedback, which is already a central component of the DualSense controller.
