As we told you in our review of the HBO series of The Last of Us, the transposition of the videogame masterpiece was found to be largely up to the original material.
The collaboration between the Chernobyl showrunner and Neil Druckmann has allowed the authors to consistently expand the universe packaged ten years ago by Naughty Dog. A choice that has met with the approval of Merle Dandridgeinterpreter of Marlene in the video game and now back on the small screen to bring the character to life in the TV series of The Last of Us.
“Pedro and Bella shone Joel and Ellie in a different light than that emanating from Troy and Ashley. – Merle Dandridge said in a recent interview – It was an absolute privilege to be able to broaden their gaze and let Marlene come into contact with them, in a completely new way. I had the opportunity to retrace aspects of her life that previously they existed only in my imaginationand it was extraordinary.”
In Italy, we remember, the TV series of The Last of Us will be available starting from January 16, 2023 on Sky, with the publication of one episode a week.
