In several regions, the Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family subscription was launched last year, but in a test version. Microsoft is currently testing how much such a subscription is interesting for players, and what benefits it can bring to the corporation itself.
It seems that as early as this week the subscription could be launched in a key market – the US, or even in several new markets. User ResetEra noticed that an advertisement for an Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family subscription has appeared in the Xbox app on PC in the US.
Recall that the Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family subscription allows 5 users to simultaneously access the Game Pass Ultimate service at once. However, there are some minor limitations. For example, only users from the same region can be combined within such a subscription.
A user who chooses to convert their Game Pass subscription (Xbox Live Gold and EA Play) to Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family will be able to do so at the following “rate”:
30 days of Game Pass Ultimate converts to 18 days of Game Pass Friends & Family30 days of Xbox Game Pass converts to 12 days of Game Pass Friends & Family30 days of PC Game Pass converts to 12 days of Game Pass Friends & Family30 days of Xbox Live Gold converts to 12 days of Game Pass Friends & Family30 days of EA Play convert to 6 days of Game Pass Friends & Family
