Radeon Technologies Group specialists continue to work on software for Radeon RX 7900 XT/XTX video cards. Today, the “red” chipmaker has released the AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 23.1.1 driver package for free. It fixes several problems that owners of the first 3rd generation RDNA 3D accelerators may have experienced.
We emphasize right away that the AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 23.1.1 driver is only suitable for Radeon RX 7900 XT/XTX graphics cards. A software update for other AMD Radeon video adapters will be released soon.
The above set of drivers fixes the following issues:
applying Auto Overclock settings may cause a driver timeout; Application crash or driver timeout in Valheim when using the Vulkan API. Application crash or driver timeout in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt if ray tracing is enabled. Decreased performance after a factory reset.
You can download the AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 23.1.1 driver from the official AMD website. The list of known issues includes the following:
high standby power consumption when using monitors with high resolution and refresh rate; application crashes or driver timeout when using the Radeon Super Resolution feature on advanced display configurations; Possible stuttering or performance degradation when displaying the game window and playing video at the same time on advanced display configurations.
