According to the journalist of the publication Bloomberg Jason Schreiergame industry veteran John Smedley leaves the post of head of the gaming division Amazon.
Smedley led Amazon Game Studios over the course of six years, having had a hand in a number of games, none of which made it to release. John announced his resignation to employees on January 11 in a letter sent to corporate email.

John Smedley has been in the gaming industry for over 30 years, most of his career Sony Online Entertainmentwhere he worked on MMORPG. His portfolio includes the duology EverQuest and Star Wars Galaxies.
