Winter sales 2023: the Nintendo Switch OLED plus a game offered for less than 320€
If you’re not familiar with the different versions of the Nintendo Switch, know that the OLED is simply the best and the newest. Hardware level, nothing changes, and the games will therefore not run better on it, unlike what we have seen before between the 3DS and the News 3DS for example, or with the “Pro” models from PlayStation .
Compared to the basic Switch, three big new features are present. The most important change is obviously found at the level of the screen, since the LCD panel has given way to an OLED screen. The latter offers an identical resolution of 720p, but has a slightly larger diagonal with 7 inches diagonal against 6.2 inches on the original model, which means that we will play with a lower definition.
However, the qualities of brightness and colorimetry of the OLED largely offset this defect, and the image is generally more pleasant on this new model. Once connected to your TV, we will remain in 1080p, without there being any difference.
The second novelty concerns the arrival of an RJ45 port on the dock of the machine. This will allow you to do without Wi-Fi when playing on your TV. This is particularly useful when playing online games where you need to minimize latency, or to better enjoy games that can be played exclusively in the Cloud, such as Remedy’s Control.
Finally, the last novelty consists of a new foot which has a better range of adjustment at the back of the machine, which is more practical for placing it on a table, even if this is not really an argument for sale.
