One of the first major releases of 2023 once again proves the technical edge of the new generation of PlayStation consoles. The owner of the YouTube channel ElAnalistaDeBits conducted a small technical analysis of the new role-playing game based on the popular anime “One Piece. Big Jackpot”, and also showed a comparison of the graphics of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. As it turned out, One Piece Odyssey works noticeably better on PS5 than on direct competitor from Xbox.
Highlights from the technical analysis of One Piece Odyssey on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X:
Both consoles are available in performance mode (1080p/30fps) and quality mode (2160p/30fps); PS5 has better shadows and slightly less pop-ups compared to Xbox Series S|X; On the PlayStation 5, the advantage of fast loading is felt; The Xbox Series X is experiencing frequent image stuttering, which patches should fix; The Xbox Series S version of the game suffers from low draw range and low vegetation.
One Piece Odyssey will be available to play tomorrow, January 13, on PC and consoles.
