How to get Ditto in Pokémon GO in January 2023?What are the possible forms of Ditto in Pokémon GO in January 2023?How to get Ditto Shiny in Pokémon GO?
As always in Pokémon GO, you won’t be able to rely on raids or eggs: Ditto can never appear except as another Pokémon! The list seems to have evolved since December 2022, and it now counts 9 creatures to hunt, although most remain the same as the last six months.
As a reminder, after each capture, an unusual message may appear on your screen: instead of the classic “I’ve got you!”, you’ll get an “Oh?” marking surprise, a sign that a Ditto is hiding behind your target. This may require many unsuccessful attempts before triggering the surprise. That said, it’s up to you to use anyway incense or lures to increase the spawn rates of wild Pokémon in general: this logically increases the number of Metamorphs.
As you will have understood, it is imperative that you know the forms behind which this strange pink creature hides if you hope to capture it. So keep an eye on your Exploration Tracker because a disguised Metamorph can hide behind each of the 9 Pokémon that we are going to present to you!
Note that if you spot one of these Pokémon, it doesn’t necessarily mean Ditto is hiding behind it. However, if you see one from the list below, you’ll have to catch it anyway since you won’t be able to tell if it’s a Ditto in any other disguise.
The case of shiny (or chromatic) Metamorph in the Niantic game is particular: it has existed in game for several months, but until September 2021, it was strictly impossible to see it appear in the wild. When it entered the game, Shiny Metamorph was bound to a Special Study. You then had two options for obtaining it, namely exchanging it or… waiting for the next Special Research featuring a Chromatic Metamorph.
However it seems to be found in the wild from: by capturing a Pokémon that may be chromatic but is not, there is a way that a shiny Metamorph is hiding behind!
