For its Ideapad Gaming 3, Lenovo started with a 15.6-inch diagonal IPS panel, with an FHD resolution (1920×1080 therefore). This screen offers a refresh rate of 120Hz, which should appeal to players who love competitive titles for whom absolute fluidity is a first-rate necessity. We also benefit from a colorimetry that covers 45% of the NTSC spectrum, and a maximum brightness of 250cd/m².
This panel is powered by a dedicated Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card with 6 GB of GDDR6 memory, which should allow you to enjoy any AAA game, provided you are measured on the graphics options. Nevertheless, competitive games can run smoothly at a very high framerate, fans of CS:GO, Valorant and Fortnite will appreciate.
At the heart of the chassis, there is an AMD Ryzen 5 5600H processor which offers 6 cores whose frequency varies between 3.3Ghz and 4.2 Ghz in boost mode. The chip is supported by 8GB of DDR4 RAM memory in the form of a 3200Mhz SODIMM module. Attention, this processor does not support more than 16GB of RAM maximum.
Storage is entrusted to the traditional 512 GB M.2 SSD found in the vast majority of laptops at the moment. Be aware, however, that an M.2 slot is free, which makes it easy to increase the total storage space. No RGB keyboard, but a fairly sober white backlight, while the generous format of the chassis (which displays 2.25Kg on the scale without the power supply) accommodates generous connections.
