January is a sad month and there’s nothing like a good few hours of entertainment to liven up the afternoons that quickly turn into evenings.
This week, streaming platforms have four premieres that include two of the most anticipated series of the moment. The Last of Us arrives on HBO Max while Netflix gets the second season of Vikings: Valhalla.
1. The Last of Us – HBO Max
This is one of the most anticipated series on the HBO Max platform and has already received recognition from international critics, as well as having the right to have a video game version.
The marketing campaign ran all over the world, but we still leave the synopsis here. Joel and Ellie cross the United States of America after an outbreak has turned most of the world’s population into dangerous man-eaters.
2. Vikings: Valhalla season 2 – Netflix
Being a spin-off, nobody expected the success that the first season of Vikings Valhalla registered. And now with the second season to debut, it is expected that this success will be consolidated.
This season’s plot begins a month after the end of the first season and shows Leif, Freydís and Harald on the run after the cruel battle of Kattegat. Although this trio is forced to separate for reasons of State, their legendary legacies are always present.
3. Hunters season 2 – Amazon Prime
Al Pacino for a new eight-episode season. Although the first season was considered reasonable, the presentation of this new season promises something different and much more attractive.
The story revolves around a group of hunters of Nazi militants who travel around the world in search of them and who even consider the hypothesis that Adolf Hitler himself is still alive.
Break Point – Netflix
This series features the same producers as Drive to Survive and follows a host of talented tennis players as they try to conquer Grand Slams to dominate the game’s global landscape.
All commentary is provided by well-known tennis players Nick Kyrgios, Taylor Fritz and Ons Jabeur.
