Sometimes reality meets fiction. This is the case for Noah Schnapp, one of the actors of the hit series Stranger Things broadcast on Netflix, who shares with the character of Will Byers much more than a face and a voice.

A week ago, Noah Schnapp posted a statement on the social network TikTok which had its small effect. The interpreter of Will Byers, one of the child “stars” who became teenagers in the series Stranger Things, posted on his account a short video lasting 8 seconds entitled “I guess I’m more similar to Will than I thought”, which can be translated as “I look more like Will than I thought.”. For those who haven’t watched Season 4 of Stranger Things yet, just know that Will Byers has romantic feelings for one of his male friends.
A touching scene taking place in a van and a discussion between brothers then act as a coming out for this central character of the series produced by Netflix. Will Byers is gay, just like Noah Schnapp who just came out publicly and touchingly speaking with sincerity to his 32.2 million subscribers on TikTok. The video is also accompanied by a text which essentially says this:
When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared for 18 years, all they said was “we know”. – Noah Schnapp

The universe of Stranger Things is no longer limited to the only television series available exclusively on the SVOD service hit with the red N. The 220 million subscribers to Netflix can discover this lore which continues to expand through several projects ranging from comic books and others graphic novels to the video games.
