A job posting published by Motive Studio hints at the use of the Unreal Engine for the upcoming Iron Man game.
Electronic Arts and Motive Studio have been working on a AAA third-person action-adventure title based on the Marvel hero Iron Man for some time. Apart from a strong focus on the single player experience, hardly any details about the game are known.
As a vacancy from Motive Studio for a senior level designer now indicates, the Iron Man game is probably based on the Unreal Engine. In addition to at least five years of experience, familiarity with an advanced game engine such as the Unreal Engine is required for the position.
Even if it is not an official confirmation and it is also questionable whether Unreal Engine 4 or 5 is meant, using the engine would make sense with a view to Electronic Arts’ approach.
Most recently, the company switched to the Unreal Engine for some of its games. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is built on Unreal Engine 4, which the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Survivor uses, as does the next installment in the Mass Effect role-playing game series, Unreal Engine 5.
