Sam Barlowcreator Her Story, Telling Lies and last year Immortality, admitted that he is thinking about moving away from FMV games and returning to making classic 3D games.
According to him, the team Half Mermaid not so long ago I was engaged in pre-production of one such game, but put the work on pause. Barlow described the project’s pitch as a perfect mix between a classic 3D game and his past FMV games. Recall that at one time the game designer had a hand in such cult series as Silent Hill, Serious Sam and Legacy of Kain.
Barlow also revealed that with Immortality, he “Given his best”, so the idea of the next project scares him a little. He mentioned the show “24 hours”, which, according to him, had a great first season, but then fell due to the fact that its creators tried to make each new season bigger and crazier than the previous one.
Barlow is also very interested in television and its interaction with the gaming industry. He praised Netflix for breaking the typical formula for watching TV shows, but admitted that he would like to see more experimentation and implementation on TV of features unique to games.
