With Resident Evil 4 remake, Starfield, Redfall, The Legend of Zelda : Tears of the KingdomDiablo IV, Star Wars Jedi : Survivor and so many others, 2023 promises to be great for video game fans. And this year it’s Dead Space Remake which is supposed to open the ball for major video game releases in 2023. Already considered one of the best survival-horror titles of all time, Dead Space is to return with a version more sublime than ever, including many improvements that could make it one of the must-haves of the season. ”’

Revised graphics up to date, but also overhaul of gameplay and equipment, new level design, improved artificial intelligence… ultimately, only the story should remain intact in the ambitious project of Electronic Arts. The publisher has just shared the graphics options on soft consoles. Designed as a current-gen exclusive, the title should take full advantage of the latest machines.

4K and Ray Tracing on Xbox Series and PS5

Unsurprisingly, there are two main graphics options on Xbox Series and PS5. EA Motive aligns with its colleagues and will offer a performance and quality mode. The first will allow you to play in 60 fps, but in 2K please. On the quality mode side, players will be entitled to a 4K definition with Ray Tracing to fully enjoy the different light effects present in the USG Ishimura.

This rendering is unfortunately at the expense of fluidity, since the quality mode will run at 30 fps. It’s up to you to see if the sacrifice of frames/seconds is worth it, or if you prefer to bet on a high frame rate to avoid being surprised by the necromorphs. Note that the Twitter thread unveiled by the official account of the game also contains the PC configurations, already revealed in the past. Dead Space Remake is due out on January 27.
