In November 2022, God of War Ragnarök, the long-awaited sequel to Kratos’ mythological adventures, was released for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
But what about the PC? The predecessor God of War, which was first released on the PlayStation 4 in April 2018, was also released for the PC in January 2022.
So here again the question arises: Will God of War Ragnarök appear for PC?. There has been no official announcement of a PC version from either PlayStation or developer Sony Santa Monica.
However, it is safe to say that the chances of a PC port are better than ever. In recent years, Sony has shifted its strategy more toward the PC, releasing several previously exclusive first-party games for PC as well.
Although you are far from releasing your own blockbusters for PlayStation and PC at the same time as they are released. In this respect, if God of War Ragnarök should come to the PC, it will still take a while. Maybe it’s faster than the predecessor, or is it not in the end?
With its PC strategy, Sony is not yet showing its cards 100 percent. In this respect, a PC implementation of God of War Ragnarök does not seem impossible, but we cannot say for sure despite more and more PC releases from Sony.
Officially, this question can only be answered as follows (January 15, 2023): God of War Ragnarök has not yet been confirmed for release on the PC.
Whether and when that will change remains to be seen. We’ll see how PlayStation’s PC strategy unfolds in the future. Should God of War Ragnarök be announced for PC, we will of course let you know.
