Podcast host XboxEra Nick Baker, also known as Shpeshal_Nick, said that PlatinumGames and Xbox can work on the revival of the “dragon” action Scalebound.
According to him, it is still very, very early to talk about something specific, but he has such information. Shpeshal_Nick also noted that he did not know what it could be about – a “full revival” or development from the place where the team left the project.
Recall that Scalebound, on which the authors of Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising initially worked together with Microsoft, was canceled in 2017. It was an action adventure about the friendship between humans and dragons. Scalebound has been announced back in 2014 at the exhibition E3. Prior to the cancellation of development, the authors planned to release the game by the end of 2016 on Xbox One and PC. At the moment, there are no other details about the fate of Scalebound, unfortunately. Last year, questions about the revival of the project were asked Phil Spencer and game designer Hideki Kamii They neither confirmed nor denied this possibility.
And also about the intention of Kamiya to return to Scalebound was told by journalist and insider Jez Corden. But the information, of course, continues to be a rumor.
