You’ve finally got your hands on an RTX 3070 which means the doors to 2K gaming are open to you, but you still need a screen to enjoy it, and without having to sell a kidney if possible. With the winter sales, this pretty LG UltraGear has just seen its price melt.

As everyone knows, the more you want a gaming screen that is loaded with features, the higher the price will be. Fortunately, with the winter sales in full swing, you can take advantage of attractive discounts that lower the price of screens that are usually very expensive. Today, we spotted this LG UltraGear with a really serious technical sheet.
Initially sold at €451.79, this screen is now at €349.99, which makes it a hell of a deal given its generous spec sheet. It must be said that the latter includes everything a player could want in an almost sober package that will find its place on any desk because of its standard size.

For the UltraGear 27GN850, LG has gone in the right direction with a demanding specification, but which focuses on the essentials. We are thus entitled to a 27-inch diagonal panel with a QHD resolution, or 2560×1440 pixels. To ensure a high quality image, the firm has used Nano-IPS technology (similar to Samsung’s QLED) which provides the advantages of IPS while reducing the disadvantages of this technology.
We think of the strong bloom effect that affects IPS panels, and which will be much less pronounced here. However, we benefit from excellent colorimetry with 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 spectrum, and an HDR10 certified screen. We also keep the responsiveness of the IPS with a gtg response rate of 1ms, and a refresh rate of 144Hz, which will appeal to players who love eSport titles. Of course, the screen is FreeSync certified, but it is above all G-Sync compatible, which is important since 75% of gaming PCs (according to Steam) are equipped with Nvidia GPUs.
This screen also has a neat foot that offers height and tilt adjustment and leaves the possibility of a 90° rotation to take advantage of portrait mode. Finally, only the rotation of the foot is missing. Connectivity level, we take advantage of two HDMI inputs, a DisplayPort input, and a 3.5mm audio output to be able to recover the audio signal from a game console for example. Finally, be aware that you can activate a crosshair in the center of the screen, which should help the smart ones to switch from unscope to AWP on CS:GO.
