A few months after the last Skyblivion video with 15 minutes of gameplay, the developers of the huge Skyrim mod that recreates the world of Oblivion pack a new trailer with unpublished game scenes accompanied by the announcement of the indicative launch window of this awaited total conversion.
The powerful mod promises to free itself from the experience lived by the Dragonborn in The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim to introduce a completely new game mapinspired by the Daedric realms of Oblivion and the different regions that make up Cyrodiil.
It will therefore be a monumental project to say the least which does not limit itself to reconstructing the original Oblivion experience “1:1” but aims to integrate an infinite number of surprises and additions such as dungeons, equipment, special missions, subplots related to The Elder Scrolls lore and several secondary characters to interact with.
However, the great ambitions nurtured by the Skyblivion developers are directly proportional to the time needed to realize this vision: in the new trailer, the Skyblivion authors explain to us that the launch of the total conversion will take place “at the latest” in 2025. Once published, this huge fan-made expansion will be totally free and modular: players interested in some specific aspects of the mod, such as new weapons or additional objects, will be able to choose which components to install according to their needs.
