Cosplay to Star Wars: Leia switches to the dark side
Funnily enough, this cosplay was actually supposed to represent another character: originally, the hobbyist Svetlana Quindt aka Kamui wanted to embody the character Iden Versio from Star Wars Battlefront – but people have told her that she looks more like an evil Leia. That’s why she adopted this version. But convince yourself!

Svetlana made the complete costume including blaster, helmet, breastplate and suit “from scratch”. You can also see the process on the hobbyist’s Instagram profile. There she also shows how the iconic TIE fighter pilot’s helmet came about from a few gray shapes. The red decorative elements on the helmet and the suit make it clear that it is actually supposed to be a cosplay from Iden Versio. Oh well!

Star Wars: Who Created This Leia Cosplay?
The cosplay duo Kamui Cosplay is behind this ingeniously staged Leia. This consists of Svetlana and Benni, who are based in Nuremberg and can look back on 19 years of experience in cosplay! They have now created 53 costumes – 15 books also reveal more about the wonderful world of Cosplay & Co. (via Kamui Cosplay). Long-time buffed fans may even remember a video we shot with Svetlana a good ten years ago – she turned Niko into a night elf!
