Patch 10.0.5 of WoW: Dragonflight will be released on January 25, 2023 and will introduce the ability to transmog gray and white quality items into the game for the first time. So transmog fans get the opportunity to expand their collection with new weapons, armor and also special off-hand items or shields.
Most white and gray items are sold in WoW (buy now) by NPCs in the main cities. For the most part, these only cost a few pieces of silver. If you stock up on the items now, you might even be able to earn some gold with the items at the start of patch 10.0.5 by putting them on the auction house.

If you plan to check out the following NPCs and add the items in patch 10.0.5 directly to your collection without detours, it is best to do this with a warrior. It is easiest for you to complete your collection as a warrior, since warriors can equip all types of weapons. Check with other classes via the drop-down menu at the top of the goods window to see whether additional items for other classes/specializations are displayed via the “All” setting.
Blacksmithing NPCs
Visit the blacksmithing profession trainers in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Galthuk in Orgrimmar (coordinates 76/37) sells you axes, swords and maces, among other things. Check out other nearby NPCs like Shoma who sell other common quality weapons.

At Osric Strang in Stormwind and Wilhelm Strang (coordinates 77/61) you can stock up on another special plate set and purchase more mail armor and shields. The counterpart for the Horde is not in Orgrimmar, but in Winterspring (Eternal Lookout, coordinates 60/50) at the merchant Nixxrak. Also, check out the goods from NPC Wixxrak, who is opposite Nixxrak.
Cloth and Leather Vendor
Look for the tailoring trainer such as Magar in Orgrimmar (coordinates 60/59). Around him you will find NPCs such as Tor’phan who will sell you cloth robes, shirts and leather gear.
Special Dalaran weapons and other items
In Dalaran (ancient Dalaran in Crystalsong Forest), enter the shop “The Absolute Arsenal” at coordinates 53/60 and check out the gray and white weapons sold by the NPCs in this shop.
Special blood elf items

For example, with the chic Mana Gathering Staff. You can buy a chain blood elf set from the merchant Faraden across from Thelryn for a few coppers.

If you have the time and desire to farm gray and white items, you can farm the Rusted Pitchfork in the Death Knight starting area or grab the Defias Red Mask with your villain from the Defias NPCs in Westfall or the Deadmines. Another fancy mask you can farm for is a blood elf bandit mask. These are obtained from blood elf bandits in the Draenei starting area.
